General Rules -

1. All students must compulsorily bring their college ID cards.
2. Participants must be undergoing any graduate or post graduates courses in any recognized university in India.
3. Participants must report half an hour prior to their event.
4. All music tracks must be in CD in MP3 format. Pen drives and tapes are not allowed
5. Vulgarity in any form is strictly prohibited and will lead to immediate disqualification.
6. Judges decision shall be final and binding.

Rules for events :

Step n Sync :

1. Each team must have exactly two members.
2. Total time limit will be six minutes

4 minutes- Members will have to dance according to the music for which they have prepared before hand.

2 minutes- Members will have to dance according to the music given by the coordinators at the time of the event.

1. Judgement will be based on coordination, variety and props used.
2. Vulgarity in any form will not be permitted and will lead to immediate disqualification.

Voice of Advay :

1. There will be three rounds- audition, semifinal and final.
2. Karaoke should be brought by contestants in MP3 format on CD
3. Karaoke need not be used in audition.
4. Songs in Hindi, Malayalam or Tamil can be selected.
5. Only film songs are permitted. No mixing of songs are allowed.

Parodia Corto :

1. There will be 2 rounds- 2 preliminary rounds and 1 final round.

Prelims:

Judges will give a topic 10 minutes prior to the event. The best 7 teams will be selected.

1. Voice should not be recorded.
2. Maximum of 5 members are permitted per team.
3. Total time limit is 15 minutes.

Mindsurf (quiz) :

1. The quiz will be general including history, literature, culture, current affairs etc.
2. There will be a preliminary round from which 5 teams will be selected to the finals.
3. Maximum of 2 members per team will be allowed. Inter college teams are also allowed.
4. Quiz Master’s decision will be final and cannot be questioned on any grounds.

De La Mode ( Fashion Show ) :

1. The show will have 2 rounds- a thematic round and a designer round.

Thematic round: Each team should have a theme for their sequence

Designer round: Each team can select any designer trends (ethic, casual, hip hop, funky etc.)

1. No. of participants can vary from 8-15, including those at the backstage.
2. Total time limit is 10 minutes. Extra 3 minutes will be given for stage setting.
3. Any form of obscenity will result in disqualification of the team.

Joc de Fete (Group Dance) :

1. 6-12 participants are allowed in each team.
2. Judging will be based on coordination, costumes and props used and variety. Extra marks will be given for them.
3. Participants are required to send a video of their previous performance to advay2010@gmail.com, atleast three days prior to the event.
4. Vulgarity in any form will not be permitted and will lead to immediate disqualification.
5. Music should be brought by the participants in CD in MP3 format. Tapes and other devices will not be allowed.
6. Total time limit is 12 minutes. Extra 3 minutes will be given for stage setting.
